Back story -
After years of overseas touring, in late 2013 we moved into 208 to set up a live performance space. Our band also played in local pubs & bars – but we were rarely happy with the deal. In 2012 we decided to move our shows from pubs to spaces-for-hire or local lounge-rooms. That way we could play the show we wanted, start & finish when we wanted, play with our chosen guest artists, charge what we wanted on the door, and generally create the best environment for our audience. We often applied for temporary liquor licenses (which are fairly cheap). The success of these shows lead us to 208 – setting up a space for us and other like-minded acts.
We’re not licensed to sell liquor yet – but if you’d like to provide alcohol at your event, we can advise re the temporary license process.
We’re unable to accommodate live performance at this time. Eventually, the space will become a fully licensed live performance room. We’re currently working our way through council & licensing approval process.
For events requiring public liability insurance, hirers will need to organise their own insurance.
